3 Ways to Remind Yourself You're Worth It

11:54 AM

Hello Beauties!

The first few years of my early teens I really struggled with my confidence. I was probably in the darkest place of my life so far (and hopefully ever) and really hated what I saw in the mirror.

It took some time, but now I am more confident than ever. But I still keep little things around to constantly remind myself I am enough.

Here are some ways to remind yourself you're worth it:

1. Keep inspirational quotes around you.

I always have inspirational quotes surrounding me. It's amazing how powerful a little sticky note with a few words on them can be. I keep them everywhere. In my wallet, on my mirror, in my locker at school.
Keeping these things around remind you that you are amazing when you are feeling down.

The inspirational quotes you will find in my locker

Here are a few examples of quotes to use:
  • "When you love yourself you love the world. The more love in the world the faster it changes"
  • "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent" -Eleanor Roosevelt
  • "To all the girls who think you're fat because you're not a size zero, you're the beautiful one. It's society who's ugly. -Marilyn Monroe

2. Listen to uplifting music.

Music is a magical thing. It can change your mood in an instant. Listening to uplifting music with a positive message can make you feel amazing.
When songs like these pop up on my iPod, I can't help but feel confident.

Here are some songs on my confidence playlist:
  • Yes I Am by Demi Lovato
  • Beautiful by Christina Aguilera
  • Roar by Katy Perry
  • Ready or Not by Britt Nicole
  • What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) by Kelly Clarkson
  • Don't You Know You're Beautiful by Kellie Pickler

3. Write a note to yourself on your body.

I always write "you're beautiful" on my thigh. To many people, this is an odd thing to do. But to me it's a reminder to myself that I am worth it that the world can't see.
One day I'd love to get it tattooed on me, but for now I just use a sharpie.
Ignore my white as a ghost thigh, It was winter....

So those are just a few ways to remind yourself you are beautiful and worth it because, trust me, you are.

To finish this off, I'm just going to leave this gif here because every girl needs a little Channing Tatum in their day.

Until next time!
